Hello, nice to meet you.
I’m a translator and content editor. I work on Italian to English translations and online content, and I always have my eye on a quality finish.
That applies away from my desktop, too, where I’m a keen amateur endurance athlete. Whether it’s a local 10k running event, one of the Marathon Majors or a demanding Olympic or middle-distance triathlon, I’m not satisfied unless I’ve given it everything I’ve got.
My work focuses on certain specific areas, to ensure I can deliver the quality you’re looking for.
You can follow the links below to read more about what I offer within each bracket, including a sports and sportswear niche.
A translator translates text from one language to another. But it’s a little more complicated than that: a translator is an expert in two languages (referred to as source and target languages) and their respective cultures.
The importance of content editing
It’s all about impressing at first click in our digital age. If you publish content online or want to draw more viewers to your page, you already have a reason to consider bringing a content editor onboard. Translations are in themselves content, and so everything I learn from my work as an editor feeds into my translation work and vice versa.
I continue to supplement my University of Leeds Masters Degree in Translation with professional memberships and continuous professional development (CPD): I’m an Affiliate of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), as well as a member of two of their branches, the Italian Network and ITI ScotNet.
